QUICK ACCOUNT (QA)

Quick account is a saving account with instant service because, as it is the case for other services, it is connected to the TPB computerized network. It uses an ID namely “Quick Account Card”. This service is only provided by Tanzania Postal Bank. It is not available at TPB agency, which is Tanzania Post Corporation (TPC).

Quick Account has the following advantages

• Enables the client to draw money at any TPB branch.
• Minimum opening balance is 10,000 shillings only.
• Interest earning, balance from 50,000 shillings on wards.
• Allows unlimited and unconditional access to your account per day provided that the balance in the account should not be less than 5,000 shillings.
• Enables the client to send money anywhere in Tanzania in the fastest mode through Electronic Money Transfer Form. Likewise, a client may receive money from relatives through Quick Account.

Requirements

• 3 recent passport size photographs.
• Employee’s Identity card/Voter’s Identity card and an Introduction letter from the employer or Ward Executive officer with a stamped passport size photograph attached on it, or upon being introduced by a recognized Tanzania Postal Bank client.
• Must have minimum opening balance not less than 10,000 shillings.
